Andrew began his early career as a systems engineer for Department of Defense contractor Northrup Grumman’s Ship Systems Information Technology Division. During his career at Grumman, Andrew completed a degree in computer science and attended the University of South Alabama’s adult education program where he was awarded many advanced Microsoft & Comp TIA certifications, including the once coveted Microsoft Certified System Engineer Certificate.
Year 2003, Andrew, took a six month sabbatical and traveled the United States’ west coast, meeting the locals and creating many memorable experiences. After depleting his savings, Andrew, with the assistance of his childhood friend, Steve Howe, accepted a position as fraud investigator for the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation’s Division of Real Estate. With utmost integrity, Andrew, enforced the divisions values and principals.
Late 2004, Andrew, decided to attend business classes at both Hillsborough Community College & the University of South Florida. While attending the university, Andrew, along with three USF students, and a professor, began a real estate investment company inclusive of an in house general contractor, whereas, Andrew, acted as the companies Chief Executive Officer and assisted the company in obtaining the necessary general contracting, mortgage brokerage, and real estate related licensing. Prior to dissolution and under Andrew’s direction, the small real estate investment company redeveloped, redesigned, and sold a variety of residential and commercial properties.
After the investment company’s dissolution and during the nations downturn in real estate, Andrew Cherry, worked alongside the former companies attorney, Stephen Hayman, assisting clients with short selling both homesteaded and non homesteaded property. Andrew Cherry negotiated deals ranging between 15K and 2.5M. The majority of the deals were upwards of 700K and located in or around the Carrollwood and Lake Keystone neighborhoods of Tampa Florida.
Once the volume of short sales in Florida began to decrease, Andrew Cherry, entered into an exclusive agreement with commercial development group European Equities Corporation (EEC). While working exclusively with and for EEC, Andrew and his team designed the corporate website (both content and coding), redeveloped and redesigned marketing, negotiated commercial leases, and assisted in meetings involving large commercial development projects.
Currently, Andrew, has employed his own dedicated support team to assist him with the representation a vast range of real estate products including large estate home, beach front condominiums, and mixed use commercial space.
